Have you visited the Big Buddha in Hong Kong? It's really huge and tall! But first, you need to climb up a long flight of stairs to reach it!

 photo P1130568_zpscuyolxsu.jpg

It took me about 15 minutes to reach the top. Not that difficult if you are relatively fit. But let me tell you, seeing the Big Buddha statue at the top is well worth the climb.

Weighing about 250 tons and reaching about 34 metres in height, this giant bronze statue can be seen as far away as Macau.

Located at Ngong Ping on Lantau Island, you can reach here by taking the cable car from Tung Chung. It's one of the famous tourist attractions in Hong Kong and I highly recommend a visit here at least once in your life!

When I was in Guilin, China a few years back, I saw a lady wearing a traditional Chinese costume while visiting the The Elephant Trunk Hill. The lady was wearing it so that tourists could take photos of her.

My friend commented that he would love to get such a dress for his wife! So we went around Guilin searching for one.

In the end, we stumbled upon this stall. It was located inside the Seven Stars Park. There were costumes for ladies and men. I did not take photos of the men's costumes simply because I was not interested. LOL.

Anyway, my friend bought one. I forgot how much it costs him but it was not exactly cheap. It turned out that the dress fits his wife perfectly and she was very happy with it!

There is a floating baby in Singapore and I kid you not!

Look, this is the photo I took. It's actually a huge sculpture located at the Meadows in Gardens By The Bay. Can you see that the baby is floating in the air?

 photo P1230805_zpsun619hyk.jpg

Weighing at about 7 tons, this huge piece of art seems to defy the laws of gravity.

But if you look carefully, the baby is not really floating. One hand is actually resting on the ground although you won't notice it at first sight. The artist had skilfully balanced the heavy sculpture on just that one hand alone. Pretty amazing, no?

Anyway, this floating baby sculpture is called 'Planet'. It is the works of British artist Marc Quinn.

If you ever visit Singapore, don't miss this amazing piece of art. Remember to snap a photo of the floating baby with the famous Marina Bay Sands in the background!

Rugged Vintage Travelers Notebook
If you are thinking of getting the perfect gift for your travel buddy or simply anyone who loves traveling, check out this rugged vintage traveler's notebook!

This quality brown leather planner is an awesome tool to jog down important notes while you are backpacking somewhere in Nepal or Bali for instance. Its size is about 8.4 inches long and 5.1 inches wide - not too small or too big in my opinion. The thickness is about 1.6 inches although that depends on how many inserts you want to put inside. The papers inside are soft to the touch and are refillable.

I bet anyone who gets this as a gift will treasure it for years to come. And believe it or not, it even smells good!

What is the one thing you hate about traveling? For me, it's packing my travel luggage! OK, maybe packing is not so bad, it's the unpacking that is worse, no?

Anyway, I would like to share these 12 space-saving hacks so that you can pack in more stuffs into your suitcase with minimum effort! Watch the video below.

There's only one thing I don't agree with this video - putting the shoes together with the clothes. That's just not right! Unless the shoes are brand new and clean of course. Otherwise, I would suggest putting the shoes inside a plastic grocery bag first.

Beautiful I Heart Traveling Bottle Cap Opener Keychain
I think this beautiful "I Heart Traveling" Bottle Cap Opener Keychain makes the perfect gift!

It is made of chrome plated metal with the printed words and urethane encased design on both sides of the centre spinning oval. It is about 2.25 inches in height and 1.5 inches in width.

With its unique design, the keychain may serve as a good conversational piece or ice breaker among fellow travelers!

Adorable Stainless Steel Travel Mug
I adore pandas and that's why I love this adorable stainless steel travel mug!

This 16 oz mug comes with a double wall plastic inner liner insulation - perfect for both hot and cold beverages. It also has a special plastic lid with slide lock to prevent your drinks from spilling out. Pretty cool, eh?

Beautifully designed with smooth curved body so that you can hold it easily and effortlessly, it is definitely ideal for travelers on the go. And of course the panda is a bonus!

If you ever visit Vietnam, do not miss this UNESCO World Heritage Site - Halong Bay.

 photo P1210138_zps33c232ef.jpg

Loosely translated as 'Descending Dragon', Halong Bay looks like the stuff of legends! It is made up of thousands of limestone islets that seem to rise from the emerald waters.

Taking a boat cruise is the perfect way to enjoy the spectacular and breathtaking beauty that Halong Bay has to offer. You can even stay overnight at the boat for a unique experience!

 photo P1210161_zps6e6890f1.jpg

Besides the cruise, you can also go kayaking and cave-exploring. The best time to visit is during the months of January to March when the weather is cool and drizzly. However it can be quite foggy and visibility might be low at these times, although this adds an ethereal air to Halong Bay, making it even more enchanting.

I would like to share this video by Lonely Planet which recommends top 3 places to visit in 2016.

The three places are Kotor, a coastal town in Montenegro; Transylvania, a historical region in central part of Romania and Botswana, a country located in South Africa.

Have you been to any of these places? If no, perhaps it's time to plan for a trip to any one or all of them soon!

I love this stylish theft-proof bag gift for travelers!

Made from nylon, this bag seems to  fit comfortably against my body. But the most important thing I like is its safety features. I'm sure you have heard about petty thieves trying to steal tourists' belongings while they are shopping at night markets by cutting off the shoulder strap. You wouldn't want that to happen to you - it will surely spoil your holidays!

This awesome bag features slash-proof body panels and adjustable, cut-proof shoulder strap. It also comes with an RFID blocking card slots and also a removable LED light. Pretty handy, no?

Now I can travel with absolute peace of mind without worrying about pickpockets and thieves... and still look good and stylish at it!

Have you ever traveled to Bangkok? It's normally quite hot on a typical day in Bangkok and you do get thirsty while walking the streets. Here are two drinks I recommend. You can find stalls selling them by the roadside.

The first is pomegranate juice.

 photo P1200004_zpsc2b49d09.jpg

This healthy juice makes a really good and refreshing thirst quencher!

The second one is mandarin orange juice.

As you can see, the seller cuts the oranges and squeezes the juice right before your eyes, so you do know that they are fresh mandarin orange juice and not some bottled-up juice with preservatives. Thirst quenching and healthy too!

Do try these two drinks next time you go Bangkok!

I love this comfortable neck pillow gift for travelers and people who travel a lot!

Not only does it supports your neck and keeps your head elevated for a good, restful sleep during your flight, its unique chin support actually prevents your head from falling forward while sleeping!

Although you can also use it at home especially while reading in bed, I find it most useful for travelers as you can compress it down to a smaller size than most regular 'U' shaped pillows,  making it easy to carry anywhere.

What else do I love about it? Well,  it comes in different colors (my favourite is navy blue!) and is machine washable.
